As I was driving home from work, I lost about 10 minutes of memory. I ended up miles from my destination with no memory of how I got there. When I regained my senses, I was very confused, to the point that I could not compute what the street signs read without really concentrating (It was as if they were in a different language) and I was having difficulty talking. It's as if my brain was disconnected. My parents located me & took me to the ER. A CT scan & blood work was done at the ER & both were normal. The ER doctors said I most likely had an absence seizure. Everything I've read about absence seizures state they typically only last for seconds and occur only in children. (I am 29) I have an appointment with a neurologist, but it's not until Dec 12. I am really confused as to what happened & pretty scared also. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
