I need to take a medication with Ephedrine HCl (25mg) and
Guaifenesin 200mg, but I still breastfeed my 14 month old before his bedtime - would it be okay if I take the medication at 7:30 a.m. if I am not going to be breastfeeding him until 7:30 p.m?

Really you need to ask your physician before taking any medication during breastfeeding. Don't take anyones word for it by a Dr.'s. The risk is just not worth it.

The whole reason I even posted on this website was to get an answer to my medical question from a doctor (unfortunatly I cannot afford health care right now so I do not have a physician of my own to ask). The Mission Statement on this site makes it sound as though it is possible for me to get the answer that I need - am I mistaken?
Please do not respond to my post by telling me to "ask your physician before taking any medication. . . " that is just more frustrating to me then if I didn't receive a reply at all.
Does the fact that you replied to my post mean that I will not receive a real answer to my question?

If you will read at the top of the forum the doctors are out at the present time. You may do better to ask him directly. Nothing takes the place of your own dr who knows you, your medical history and has the benefit of seeing you in person. Have a nice day.
