Hello,
How are you? I'm writing to just get some opinions on things. I know any lump in regards to the testicles should be checked out, but read the whole post so you can see what I am wondering.
For a little while I had had some testicular pain and so being concerned about it, I scheduled a routine physical because it was about that time anyway.
When the PA asked if I had any concerns I mentioned that I had been having some pain in my groin area. I also mentioned that someones it felt like it was in my side or in my abdomen. He took a look, did the turn and cough thing, etc... and said that everything was fine. He said it possible could have been some sort of strain or something that had happened. So I said, ok and that was that. I figured that I would wait and see how things feel, etc...
I started taking some warm baths because I had heard that can help with testicular pain and that has helped some. Well the other day while doing an examination I noticed what seemed to be a very, very small bump or lump. I've been doing some research on-line and it doesn't seem like the bump is growing out of the actual testicle. I am not positive of the difference and how it would feel, however, I've noticed that when i try to push down on the lump it seems to move, so that makes me think that it's not actually coming out of my testicle. Sometimes I wonder if it's a vein or something. I don't believe that it is the epididymis, but I could be wrong. It seems too small and doesn't seem like it's attached to the whole thing, but I could be wrong. It's tough because each time I try to look at it, it moves away or I can't find it. Sometimes it is difficult to locate. Anyway... I was wondering if it could be a Spermatocele?
I hadn't noticed it before going to the doctors so I didn't say anything to him. My biggest question is, if there was something that was cancerous, etc... wouldn't the doctor have noticed it when I went a couple weeks ago? The doctor normally checks for that when he does the routine physical exam, correct?
Is a correct way to move forward to monitor it over the next few weeks and due more frequent exams to see what happens? I don't know if I would even be able to find it right now if I went to the doctor, also I'm getting married next week and will be on my honeymoon so I'm not positive if I will be able to get to the doctor next week. What do you think, is it ok to monitor it and see what happens, especially since I was just at the doctors? Or should I schedule an appointment as soon as possible?
