Weird Side Effects from Imitrex and Morphine (Not combined)

I have major migraines. My doctor put me on 50 mg Imitrex. It makes me feel absolutely horrible. I get very dizzy. So dizzy that I can barely keep my head up, let alone stand or walk. It also makes my chest and throat feel really tight. It's so bad that I can't drive, eat, or move until it wears off.

Whenever I am given morphine, I feel very sick. It makes my chest hurt, and I can barely walk. Last time it was given to me at the ER, I had to drive myself to the pharmacy and home before it had time to completely wear off.

Are these side effects normal? They scare me.:unsure:

You may search each of your meds using the searh tool. If your meds are that troublesome you need to tell your dr. and maybe he can change them or change the dose. Unfortunately medications do have many side effects but with adjustments maybe you can find a happy in between.:smile:
