View Full Version : Numbness in thigh

One day while shaving I noticed that an area on my thigh a little bigger than a softball was kinda numb. It's just above my knee on the lateral side. Not a prickly, shooting numbness...just a superficial no feeling type of thing. I can't honestly say how long it lasted - couple months maybe and the area never got bigger. The numbness is gone but now the area is tender. Not in a painful way, there is no pain at all but tender. It's hard to explain - maybe like a light bruise type thing. No redness, no swelling. I'm almost 22, not a smoker, don't drink much at all, am slightly overweight but not to the point of being unhealthy because of it. The only medication I take is orthotricyclen-lo. I'm curious if this is a random event from some type of trauma - which I don't remember or what it could be? Thanks!
