no period for 3 years...bleeding now

I have'nt had a period in about 3 years. I'd gone to the gyno and they scraped some cells, level II squamous cells, non cancerous. I began bleeding about 8 days ago and havent stopped, and its getting heavier. Today I passed some rather large clots, about the size of a small plum. I'm wondering whats going on here, and if I should go the ED? I'm just very concerned, as I am starting to feel "woozy" and i havent experienced this previously.

Hi dear!

You didn't mention your age here that maybe you are going on menopause or pre-menopause. But if so, your doctor should have told you that. Why don't you go and do an ultrasound of your pelvic area to see if there is something there that cause no menstartion or heavy bleeding?

Please note that I am not a health profession, but I am an ultrasound students. This forum is only for sharing different experiences, unless Dr. Joshua answer them himself.

thanks for the replies. I'm 24. it's still going strong, I think its gettin heavier. I may just end up in the ED tonite.

I would of wondered why no period in 3 years. Not knowing your medical history etc. You should let your GYN know of this and his or her opinion on the matter and what further needs to be done.

I've always been irregular, and my gyno found some cells, and they did biopsy, it was non-cancerous. other than that i dont really know why I havent had cycles. she did give me some hormones to take every three months to induce my period...but i havent taken them. other than that, im pretty healthy, STD free, no kids. its a mystery.

Just don't worry, but try to have follow up on that.
